  I sustained a spinal cord injury in a bicycling accident in Texas, which left me paralyzed from the chest down. After exploring a variety of options, Mr. Viglione partnered with a firm in Texas to move forward with a suit against the insurance company even though partnering with another firm meant sharing any potential fee.
  
  The insurance company filed a motion to have the suit dismissed. When the judge ruled to allow the suit to move forward, the insurance company agreed to mediation. Through the mediation process, we quickly came to terms with the insurance company.
  
  The settlement from the insurance company alleviated the financial of burden of the ongoing medical, rehabilitation and home care costs of being a paraplegic. Thanks to the settlement, I can live independently with minimal assistance and without imposing a financial burden on my daughters and their families.
